Estate and Track Maintenance ManagerOulton Park

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estate and Track Maintenance Manager at Oulton Park motor racing circuit in Cheshire.

The Estates and Track Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the entire venue, including the race circuit, public areas, a wide variety of buildings and utilities, to ensure the highest standards of presentation and serviceability for our customers, who attend every day and particularly at the numerous major national and club-level motor racing events.

The Estate and Track Maintenance Manager manages a team of up to 10 personnel including the in-house teams involved in general maintenance, ground care & landscaping, venue cleaning and security.  They also have responsibility for managing a continual programme of improvements to the venue.   Estate, venue or facilities management experience is essential and any previous involvement with the events industry would be beneficial, as well as previous motorsport experience (but not essential).  To be successful in this role, you'll need to balance office time with being out on site working with the team.

You will ideally have a minimum of five years' relevant industry background including strong people management and organisational skills. Project budgets and deadlines will need to be set and adhered to.

Workload will include planning routine maintenance and improvements, dealing with sub-contractors, utilities and support services.  Training or qualifications in Health and Safety, fire safety, fire risk assessments and construction site safety legislation are vital.

Critical qualities are commitment, strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail to achieve very high standards of venue presentation and an ability to cope under pressure to meet tight deadlines.  Oulton Park is a leisure events business so staff working a number of event weekends and bank holidays during the season is expected and essential.

This is a demanding role but one that will be immensely satisfying for the successful applicant who will be responsible for the appearance, facilities and continual upgrading of one of the top motor racing circuits in the United Kingdom.

A good standard of written English, with good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are also required. Comprehensive training for the role will be provided.
