We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day to day operation of catering facilities at Donington Park Circuit. This includes Garage 39 which is a new 300+ cover cafeteria-style restaurant, bar and coffee shop at the heart of the venue.
You will be running the front of house operation, working closely with the circuit management team and the experienced kitchen team. Food Safety, Licensing and Health & Safety compliance will be a key feature of the role, along with ensuring the outlet is effectively staffed and stocked. This will include recruitment and training of team members, ordering and controlling stock, and following company procedures for purchasing.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for the presentation of the catering outlets. They'll be kept clean, ready for service and welcoming at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong eye for detail, great communication skills, team management skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service and experience. You will also be commercially aware, able to manage budgets and maximise profit without compromising on our high standards.
You will need to have appropriate food safety qualifications and a good general level of IT competency including MS Office packages.
You must have a flexible approach to working hours, with a particular concentration of working hours around the event season which will include weekend, evening work and early starts to provide effective coverage of a variety of weekday, weekend and corporate hospitality events.
