We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join the Catering team at our Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit for the 2019 race season. We have the following roles available on a casual basis:
Assisting our resident Chef, the successful candidates will help produce tasty, traditional meals of a high quality for the busy Tyrrells restaurant. Knowledge of and qualification to current food hygiene standards is preferred, though full training may be offered to the right candidates.
Ideally, applicants will have experience of working within a professional catering environment and be used to maintaining an extremely clean and tidy working area. Additionally, they will need to be friendly and outgoing with an ability to communicate at all levels.
FRONT OF HOUSE
Assist in serving food and making beverages, ensuring the seating area is clean and tidy and tables cleared and available. Help set up the restaurant. Support the chefs to ensure they are prepared for service. Help clear down after a busy breakfast or lunch so restaurant and kitchens are ready for the following day.
CIRCUIT BAR SUPERVISOR
Currently seeking a motivated, hard working individual to provide evening meals and supervise the running of the Circuit Bar.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning menus, preparing the meals for our clients in the evening, along with managing the staff in our busy bar.
This role will require candidates to have availability outside of our normal race calendar, as the successful candidate will assist the Catering Supervisor with the promotion and running of our 2019 Christmas Lunches and Dinners.
The ideal candidates will have experience of working behind a busy bar. They will have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and outgoing, with an ability to communicate at all levels.
Experience preferred, but not essential as training would be given to the right candidates. This position requires excellent customer care skills.
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Main responsibilities will include:
- preparing land for turf laying and repairing damaged track edge turf
- rolling and mowing the turf
- identifying and controlling weeds
- ensuring irrigation and drainage systems are implemented and maintained
- operating equipment like hedge cutters, strimmers and ride-on mowers, tractor powered flail mowers
- assisting the Maintenance Foreman in routine venue maintenance projects, such as, general venue presentation duties, painting, removing rubbish etc.
- maintaining good communication with Circuit Management team
WEEKEND RACE EVENT STEWARDS
Ticket sales, grandstand stewards, car parking, paddock and pit lane stewards. Full training will be offered for these positions, and hours vary depending on role.
Due to the nature of the business, all candidates will need to have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to work evenings and weekends.
